General Policies

Photography and Video Recording of any kind by guests is prohibited during a performance. Guests are permitted (and encouraged!) to take photos and videos before and after a performance – be sure to tag PTC as well as designers, performers, or anyone involved in the production!

Be advised that PTC may hire a photographer and videographer to be present during any performance or event either at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre or at off-site events. By entering the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, or attending an off-site event, you agree to be photographed/filmed and grant permission for your images to be used by PTC.

We understand that delays may prevent you from getting to the theater on-time. If you arrive after the performance has started, you will still be permitted to enter the theater.

Please note: for your safety and to ensure the best possible experience for you and other guests, you may need to wait before entering the theater. Monitors are present in the lobby that will provide a live-feed of the performance while you wait to enter. Once we are able, we will either seat you in your ticketed seat, or a comparable seating area designated for late-seating.

If you would rather attend a different performance date, you are welcome to visit/contact the Box Office to exchange your tickets.

Accessibility

Please follow this link for more information about our Accessibility Policies.

Infrared hearing enhancers are available in our lobby next to our bar in front of Door 1. Please be ready to provide a valid ID or credit card, and a House Manager will be happy to assist you. If you are wearing a hearing aide, let us know, and we’ll introduce you to our T-coil device option! Quantities are limited and all devices are distributed on a first-come, first served basis.

Ticketing Policies

Ticket and Subscription purchases will incur service fees that will vary depending on the product. These fees go towards many things, including theatre maintenance, software/technology, and our friendly Box Office Staff.

Fees do not apply to the following transactions: ACCESS tickets, Industry tickets, Senior tickets, Complimentary tickets, or Exchanges.

Additionally: fees are automatically waived In-Person at our Box Office.

Yes! Life happens and we understand that plans sometimes change. Our Audience Services Team is more than happy to help you find solutions when you need to change the date of your purchased performance.

PTC does not charge exchange fees. However, there are a couple of instances where the difference in the cost of the ticket itself will require additional payment. This can occur when you are exchanging into a more expensive performance (ie. from a preview to a weekday/weekend, or from a weekday to a weekend) and/or if you are upgrading your seat (from Mezzanine to Orchestra, or from standard Orchestra/Mezzanine to premium Orchestra/Mezzanine).

If you would rather attend a different performance date, you are welcome to visit/contact the Box Office to exchange your tickets.

Why, of course! PTC is grateful for donations of any size, and donating a ticket you cannot use is a great way to support our organization.

If you find you cannot use a ticket, contact our Box Office to process a donation – we will send you a donation acknowledgment via email for tax purposes.

Flexibility is one of our core values. Simply put: yes, you may request a refund for tickets purchased at or for events at Philadelphia Theatre Company. Tickets can be refunded up to curtain time. We cannot, however, issue refunds for events that have already happened, or for orders dating back to the previous fiscal year. Make sure to have your email confirmation ready when seeking a refund.

As a general note: PTC’s Box Office is the only authorized ticket seller for PTC productions – we are not responsible for any tickets purchased from a Third-Party Seller.

Ways to Save

Guests who are 65 or older can purchase tickets without processing fees. Note: the value of the ticket itself is not discounted – fees are waived automatically.

Guests who work within the Theatre/Artistic Industry may purchase industry tickets at the cost of $25 per ticket (limit of two per person) either by phone or by visiting the box office in person. Fees do not apply, and are subject to availability.

Please plan to provide proof of your industry status at the time of purchase or when picking up your tickets at will call. This can be an email address associated with another theatre company, a listing on a theatre website, an Industry Card (provided through Theatre Philadelphia), etc.

Note: Industry rates are not available for any Rental ticket purchases.

PTC makes available a limited number of day-of rush tickets valued at $20. These are available to be purchased starting at 12pm the day of the performance either Online, over the Phone, or In-Person.

Ticket purchases for CIR events will incur a $5/ticket fee at the time of purchase. These fees are waived in person at our Box Office.

Any exchange or refund requests are at the discretion of the Resident Company utilizing our space. Please contact our Box Office for detailed policies.

Unfortunately, no. We are not able to donate these tickets back to Resident Companies on your behalf. If you would like to make a contribution to these organizations, please contact them directly.
