H ello writers, friends of writers, and budding writers!

We are thrilled to announce our Stage to Page project happening throughout April during the run of our highly anticipated new play, Sex With Strangers!

During each show of our season we offer special deals on tickets to new audience members who may have an interesting connection to the work on stage. Sex With Strangers features characters who are both writers – one old school and one immersed in the digital world. We love writers of every stripe so we’re reaching out to offer you special group discounts to enjoy this play by Laura Eason and then write a personal essay related to the show. Example essay topics may include: e-books versus the printed page, celebrity authors and self-disclosure in the age of social media, the fictionalizing of the memoir, the merits of self-publishing, the writer’s retreat tradition, sexism in the publishing industry, etc.

In exchange, we’ll post your essay on our blog, share it via our social media platforms, and offer information here at the theatre about you and your writing program or group. We’ll even offer you space to meet if you’d like to plan your own happy hour, group meeting or event. No charge for the space! Then, as an extra thank you we’ll get you two free tickets to a preview performance of Lucas Hnath’s new play, Hillary and Clinton coming next at PTC!

To get going, you only need 6 people to see Sex With Strangers together. Tickets start at $20 for previews and $29 for the full run. Can’t come with a group? Single tickets $24 – $62. Some performances will be followed by free events – Meet-the-Artists, an interview with Dr. Timaree Schmit, a playwright interview, a backstage tour and more.

Check out the flyer below for more details! We’d love to share your work! #stagetopageptc

PTC reserves the right to post essays at our discretion.
